According to our research, KIMO has 3 different cordless leaf blower models on the market. These are the KIMO Cordless Leaf Blower 200 CFM, KIMO Cordless Blower 400 CFM and KIMO 2-in-1 Leaf Blower/ Vacuum. This article provides an overview of all these 20V tools. We start with a detailed review of the KIMO Cordless Leaf Blower 200 CFM in the first chapter. During the review, we examine the tool considering the four criteria (1) performance, (2) ergonomics, (3) technology, and (4) delivery scope and price. Afterwards, we present the two other devices in the second chapter. Chapter 3 contains the most important tool specifications and technical data.
I. KIMO Cordless Leaf Blower 200 CFM – Review
Its high-efficiency electric motor produces a maximum air speed of 170 miles per hour (mph). The maximum airflow capacity is 200 cubic feet per minute (cfm). The tool also features a speed lock as well as a trigger for variable speed to control the output of the cordless blower.
The leaf blower is operated with a 20 Volt lithium-ion battery. Two different battery packs with capacities of 2- respectively 4 ampere hours (ah) are available. The tool runs four around 20 minutes with the smaller battery. With the larger pack, the runtime is almost double as long. Moreover, the cordless leaf blower has an ergonomic design and is pretty lightweight (it only weighs 2.7 pounds excluding the lithium-ion battery pack). This means that you can easily use it for extended runtimes.
The KIMO 200 CFM Blower is equipped with powerful turbofans and all-copper motors for effective lawn care. With 170 mph, it flows at a maximum airflow capacity of 200 cfm to ensure that the leaf blower moves trapped leaves and debris efficiently.
Designed with users’ safety in mind, the 20V power tool has a cooling system that prevents overheating when in prolonged use. This blower also offers other protective mechanisms, e.g. prevention from over-loading debris.
The leaf blower has a variable-speed trigger and speed lock to enable you to control the amount of power and wind speed you need to blow leaves off hard surfaces. You can pull the trigger slightly if you need a little air, or give it a full pull if you need a full blast. The blower performs tasks easily with less noise compared to gas-powered leaf blowers.
As already stated in the introduction of this article, the KIMO battery leaf blower has an ergonomic design and is well balanced. In addition, the tool is very lightweight. Its 2.7 pounds weight is about less than half the weight of most gas-powered leaf blowers. Weight-wise, the KIMO blower also does well in comparison to other popular leaf blower brands, such as Makita or Black and Decker.
3. Battery- & charging technology
The KIMO battery blower operates with a 20V lithium-ion battery. The battery is available with capacities of 2- respectively 4 ah. The 2 ah battery pack offers a runtime of 20 minutes when it is fully charged. The runtime with the 4 ah battery is up to 40 minutes. The KIMO chargers offer fast charging capacities. Within a time of 45 minutes, the 2 ah battery is charged. The charging time for the 4 ah battery is even shorter. However, you need to purchase a different charger in case you want to use the larger pack as well.
The 20V batteries and charging solutions introduced above cannot only be used with the KIMO cordless blowers, but also with all other 20V power tools as well as gardening tools from KIMO, such as chain saws, trimmers, tillers, sprayers and grinders.
4. Scope of delivery & price
KIMO offers its 20V leaf blower and its accessories at a fair price. The complete tool set consists of the power tool, blow tube, a removable battery pack, and a charger. Technology-wise, the tool set usually comes with a 2 ah battery and the corresponding charger. You need to purchase the 4 ah battery pack as well as the charging station separately if needed.
II. Other KIMO 20V Cordless Blower Products
KIMO Power Cordless Leaf Blower 400 CFM: If you are looking for a battery-powered leaf blower with a longer runtime and higher air volume, look no further than the KIMO Power Cordless Blower 400 CFM. You will get up to 30 minutes of runtime from this model. In contrast, the runtime of the smaller KIMO blower is only around 20 minutes. Additionally, the KIMO Blower 400 CFM has an impressive air volume of 400 cfm (as included in the model description). However, a big disadvantage of the 400 CFM Blower is its reduced air speed of only 90 mph.
KIMO 2-in-1 Leaf Blower/ Vacuum: This KIMO 2-in-1 Leaf Blower/ Vacuum has an innovative 2-in-1 design and can serve as a leaf blower or vacuum. It usually comes with a 2.0 ah battery and a charger just like the other solutions presented above. In addition, the delivery scope includes a reusable debris collection bag. You can turn the classical blower into a leaf vacuum just by adding the bag. The tool also has an extended tube thereby improving access to hard-to-get areas.
